Special Features

Meet-the-Professor Sessions
This new feature will include four simultaneous breakfast sessions each day
from 7 AM to 8 AM on November 25 to 27, 2001. These sessions will provide
informal interaction between the Professor conducting the session and the

Travel Support for Postgraduate Students

Postgraduate students (registered for DM/MCh/MD/MS/DNB courses), who have accepted
papers in the Indian Society of Gastroenterology sessions are eligible to receive travel support
up to III AC train fare both-ways. Similarly, travel support may also be available for postgraduate

students who are participating in other societies' sessions. Those desirous of receiving such
support may write to the Organizing Secretary with details of the session in which their paper
is to be presented and a certificate of student status from the head of their department by
October 15, 2001.
In the past, it has been noticed that students do not avail of this facility for
lack of dissemination
of information. Senior members of participating societies are requested to kindly bring this to the
notice of their younger colleagues and students, so that these funds may be used.
